Finished Friday
Hello friends, not the Friday I intended to post but I seem to have lost a week somewhere lol! However, a few bits to show you. Firstly, the page I showed on the last WIP Wednesday and, after a lot of toing and froing, all I ended up adding were some small enamel dots.
Having said there was not enough paper left from my scrap bag of the Spring collection to make another layout what do you know? Some yellow and white plain cardstock, the little pile of mainly yellow fussy cut tags, journal spots, plus some background and text stamping in Spun Sugar and Antique Linen Distress Oxide and these cute ducklings finally found their way onto a layout. Despite the evidence to the contrary in my room(s) of stash, you don’t need lots of stuff to make a layout and I am really happy with the simplicity of this one.
Then I discovered I actually did have a full sheet left but unfortunately a bit too flowery for me to scrap with, so I made a quick and simple little file folder to keep all the remaining fussy cut flowers from this collection in with a simple belly band as a closure. love me a one sheet wonder.
And finally a layout based on an idea from Paige Evans shared for NSD earlier this month, started at the Stratton Scrappers crop two Sundays ago. It is a bit overcrowded for my taste and not what I originally planned, but some pages just turn out better than others and that is ok. A favourite photo, of a favourite bookshop, in a favourite place, visited countless times over the years and I just love these papers, conveniently from a collection by Echo Park called Our Happy Place.
